Training opportunities for staff and volunteers in Edinburgh and the Lothians.

Healthy Respect in partnership with LAYC: Relationships, sexual health and parenthood education (Primary Age)

This interactive session will cover:

  • The language we use to talk about bodies and relationships
  • Puberty, consent, and online safety
  • The Scottish resource – https://rshp.scot/
  • How to respond with confidence and support key messages for children

Dates:

  • Tuesday 25th March 2025 10-1.00

This training will take place at LAYC, Dunford House, 7 Boroughloch, Edinburgh EH8 9NL.  This training is free to Healthy Respect Network and LAYC members.

Relationships, Sexual Health, and Parenthood curriculum training for those working with primary aged children

This training is for teachers and anyone working with primary aged children.

Content: Exploring particular topics such as language, consent, sex and relationships and dealing with frequently asked questions from children and parents & carers.

Learning outcomes:

  • Increase in participants knowledge of benefits of RSHP education
  • Increase in knowledge and confidence in delivering RSHP in a range of settings
  • Increased understanding of how to create a safe and effective learning environment for this topic as it is mapped across the P1-P7 Health and wellbeing curriculum.
